La Lá

La Lá, Peruvian singer-songwriter and producer recognized in her country and Latin America among the most notable of the decade. In her songs she fuses traditional Peruvian music with elements of world music, such as jazz, bossa, guaracha and bolero. Her lyrics talk about human feelings in the context of patriarchy, capitalism and climate change. In her fourth album, called Debut (2023), she reflects on the ingenuity and ventures into new genres such as merengue.
