Kingpin X isn’t just a rapper— he’s a movement, turning raw life into rhythm and rhymes that hit hard and stay real. While on the rise he’s hard to ignore, X is carving a name in the game with a voice that cuts through the noise. From The damaged Roads and the inner city of Eastside Tacoma Wa, Matthew H was the youngest of six and was born with talent. X’s Mother tells him “Everything you touch turns to Gold”. He has been told so many stories about himself from childhood as his family reflects “You used to Move to the drums when we were in church. If the drums weren’t going you were in the whom sleep.” X was raised in a household where hip hop and music that was anything other than Gospel was not allowed, X’s Older brother showed him other music that was not only gospel but also mixed gospel with hip hop RNB and many other genres. May 4th, 2008, X’s brother passed away suddenly on a Sunday night. The family was tremendously stunned and devastated. After his older brother’s passing. He spent a lot of time with his other brother which introduced him hip hop from Lil Wayne to Wale to Ludacris, X was mesmerized by the rhythmic cadences and head knocking beats. He wanted to make this type of music That his late brother would love to listen to but could be played in his household along with every other household that lacked hip hop. He became that outlet. After, he went on to impact Tacoma and perform in front of his peers and this led him to becoming and pioneer in Tacoma performing in-front of thousands. Kingpin X isn’t just a rapper but is also a Producer Mixing and Mastering Engineer but also a Drummer and musician. His music can be described as Progressive Rap with That mixes Soul music, popular trap, with the west coast flavor and a sprinkle of funk, with Metaphors and Hypnotic Flows.
