"Kid Conventional" is Sheffield singer-songwriter Jack Weston. An experienced and dynamic live performer, he has played hundreds of gigs all over the country since 2013, supporting such high profile and diverse artists as Edwina Hayes, Maz O'Connor, Jess Glynne, The Brand New Heavies and Little Comets, and having featured at festivals including Peakender, Top of the Gorge, Humber Street Sesh and the Edinburgh Fringe. He has released three EPs and numerous singles in this time, with several songs appearing on year end "Best of..." lists from BBC Sheffield Introducing, his indie- and country- inspired folk, with its bittersweet lyrics and powerful vocal performances, having drawn praise from music lovers from all musical backgrounds. After a disrupted three years due to the pandemic, he is returning in 2023 with new music to a full gig schedule. In addition to his solo work, he has also fronted the Sheffield Beatles Project since 2017, having played a number of acclaimed shows, bringing classic albums to life with a full band and orchestra.
