Kennedy Williams is a 25 year-old singer-songwriter from Marion, IN. Drawing influence from vocalists such as Sade and Colbie Caillat, Kennedy is bringing back organic music with a contemporary feel. In 2018, Kennedy made a name for herself by playing at venues such as the Vortex Dome LA and M3 Live Theatre, opening for artist Marsha Ambrosious. Kennedy also began putting together her own shows called “Kenny & Friends”, consisting of local musicians and artists that she has connected with along her journey. In April 2018, she released her freshman EP “Rush” which she wrote and co-produced with LA-producer, Alexis Rodriguez. This project has led to multiple collaborations, with new music set to release throughout the rest of 2019. Her recent release “Summer Sun”, with Hip-Hop artist LAVL, is now available on all streaming platforms!
Kennedy comes from a rich back round of artists and musicians. Her older sister, Ki'Leigh Williams, a well know choreographer and dancer in Los Angeles, and her father Melvin Williams Jr., a well known bass player of his time have been major influences on Kennedy in chasing her passion as a musician. Her upbringing has molded her into the artist she is today, fully expressing herself in her lyrics and stage performance. Her soft yet powerful vocal range is what continuously sets her apart from other artists. When you see Kennedy perform live, there seems to be a layer of intimacy that surrounds her. Captivating the audience and sharing her emotional journey on stage has been expanding her fan base with every live performance.
