Kate Heron

Kate Heron is an indie artist based in Austin, TX, originally from Chicago, IL, whose voice and songs have captured the attention of audiences in the Austin music scene. With a background in opera and film sound design, Heron combines her two skills by creating melodies full of "vocal acrobatics" and unconventional guitar playing, to make sonic worlds that transport people the moment she starts to perform in a unique listening experience, and leave them stunned. ​ Her sound has been described as "mystical and beautifully haunting", "light but powerful", and "absolutely transcendent."which has made for a perfect pairing for her ethereal indie rock music.
