Juliana Chahayed is a 25-year-old singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. With a YouTube channel boasting over 100,000 subscribers as well as loyal TikTok following (users sometimes call her “phone girl” on the platform, owing to her use of a telephone mic), Julie has made waves with viral covers ranging from a lo-fi version of Radiohead’s “No Surprises,” to a tongue-in-cheek emo take on Clairo’s “Sofia,” to a sweetly sincere version of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You," and has racked up tens of millions of views across various platforms. Born to a musical family – her brother is Grammy-nominated super-producer Rogét Chahayed, and her younger sister is indie pop singer-songwriter Andrea Chahayed – Julie began singing at age 7, and had a brief run on American Idol when she was just 15, at the time the youngest contestant ever on the show. She started releasing her own music in 2020.
