For Philadelphia born singer-songwriter Joshua Howard, making music is about much more than the number of people listening to his music. Joshua’s music thrives on raw content, reflective of the thoughtfulness and unapologetic honesty of a musician searching for purpose in the process of creating. Joshua has been surrounded by music his whole life. Growing up to the sounds of James Taylor, Carole King, Sam Cooke and many others, consequently stirred up a deep love for storytelling in his song writing. While developing a style blending his soulful voice with a folk-rock singer songwriter sound, Joshua’s music has been compared to artists such as Amos Lee, Leon Bridges, and Anderson East. Joshua competed and was a finalist on NBC’s hit TV show, The Voice in 2016. Since his time on the show Joshua has stepped into pursuing his dream of being a full-time musician and spreading love through his music. In March 2018, his debut EP “Forgive my False,” was released peaking at number 8 on the Singer Songwriter iTunes charts. Coming off an international tour of Cuba and Honduras in the summer of 2019 he and his band have been hard at work in the studio working on new music set to come in 2020.
Joshua Howard has performed in Sofar Philadelphia, Sofar NYC, Sofar Boston, Sofar Morgantown, and Sofar Nashville.
