A genuine voice to the open heart, John Wood is author, poet, and speaker delivering honesty, vulnerability and engaging storytelling to the mic. An Atlanta native, Wood has taken his Christian, academic and black experiences and molded a message for both the old and young. Uninterested in surface level encounters, Wood’s poems and talks dive directly into the heart of every issue, with the sole purpose of healing the current condition of his listeners. No matter if it’s a café, classroom, or pulpit, Wood is committed to the unending task of fueling the joy on the inside of us all. John has opened for other talented acts such as Alysia Harris, Jasmine Mans, Rudy Francisco, GeorgiaMe and Queen Sheba. He released his debut collection of poetry “Things I Lost Along the Way” in 2017.
