American singer-songwriter, JD Clayton, was born in a small river town on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border called Fort Smith. He learned to sing and play guitar on Sunday mornings in church. While attending the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith, JD started a band, began writing and recording songs, and played shows on campus and in the bars downtown. After graduating from college, JD took off to Nashville where he recorded his debut EP 'Smoke out the Fire' which was released in early November of 2018. Since the release of 'Smoke out the Fire' JD has opened for acts like Ryan Bingham at Peacemaker Festival in Arkansas and won awards such as the Walton Family Foundation Artist 360 Grant.
