Jared Daniel

Calgary born R&B artist Jared Daniel makes music you can feel. The deep groove of his sound opens him up to share his story with soul and conviction. Some highlights from the year include his recent JUNOfest performance, a half million streams across platforms, signing a distribution deal with AWAL, his Marriott artist residency, opening up for T-Pain, Lupe Fiasco at the Calgary Stampede and Mario at the Palace Theatre, the 2022 SOCAN Songhouse, as well as performing the “Foundations” Artscape Foundation Fundraiser show alongside Juno-nominated Zenesoul in Toronto. Jared was also nominated for a YYC Music Award - R&B Recording Of The Year. Sensing within his generation an identity crisis riddled with insecurities, Jared invites his listeners to dig deeper and get more honest with themselves. His first EP (Don’t Worry About Me - 2021) explored themes of anger, forgiveness and spontaneity, all leading towards new life. Growing up in a western Canadian culture more accustomed to country music and hockey, Jared instead let basketball and the subsequent hip hop and R&B culture into his heart. The first album he owned (The Space Jam soundtrack featuring D’Angelo and Monica) provides a glimpse of what moved Jared from a young age. From there he followed in his Dad’s footsteps hosting concerts in his local community until deciding to emerge as an artist himself in 2020. Jared Daniel is set to release his debut album “Lost In Translation” June 2023, and will then share this new music live across North America. His first stop is set for June 15th at NXNE in Toronto.
