IMISI (Born Imisioluwa Peletu) is a British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, vocal producer, musician, artist, Soul vocalist & creator from North London. Born to Nigerian parents, Peletu’s full name Imisioluwa, shortened as Imisi, is derived from the Yoruba tongue, meaning ‘the Breath of God/ Breath of life/ Inspiration of God’. Imisi’s distinctive warm, melodious, soulful, reassuring honesty through her vocals and her transparency and introspection through her words and melodies is what makes her the authentic voice that she is and shines as a testament to her proud upbringing and faith filled heritage of Gospel music, Soul, Jazz, R&B, pop and many more. Extending her talents & singing in various showcases has opened doors for her as a vocalist, from performing at music venues like Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, White City House/ Soho House, The Crypt Camberwell, Moth Club, The Jamhouse, Amazing Grace London and many others. Currently embarking on her own budding and blossoming artistic journey, IMISI's music, an exploration and amalgamation of live Soul, Gospel, Orchestral, Jazz and more, is beautifully and authentically introspective: With autobiographical values of her Faith, healing, empowerment, vulnerability, self acceptance, courage, transformation, bravery, purpose, determination, love, relationship with one's younger/ inner child, affirming and detailing the lifelong journey of Self Discovery.
