Since his arrival in Montreal, ILAM has discovered a musical universe where different sounds mingle in a unique cultural basin. ILAM delivers a style of music filled with different musical spices and a great portion of sensitivity. Combining a rhythmic blend of reggae and blues with inclinations of Afro-folk, crossbreeding accents of pop or rock. His voice evokes the depth and power of a nomadic people in a mesmerizing and urban atmosphere. From Dakar, Senegal, with roots tracing back in the Fouta, from which came the mythical "Voices of the River", ILAM was born in a family traditionally recognized as scholars and nobles, where music was being reserved for the ancient Griot caste. Nevertheless, he discovered his vocation very early and with his increasingly desire to share his creative expression and his universe to the world.
