Sincerity Rap. Durham City’s Tim Head (he/him) writes and perform rap music under the name Faithful Johannes. He’s received multiple national radio plays on BBC 6Music. He has been selected for the prestigious Sage Summer Studios programme for developing artists, has been a cover star of NARC Magazine, the North East’s arts and culture monthly. His song Ghosts in my Attic was voted North East song of the year. In 2023 he was shortlisted for the BBC’s Words First spoken word competition. A feature article in Electronic Sound described him as ‘The Alan Bennett of Hip Hop’. Tom Robinson (BBC 6MUSIC) has called him ‘a great artist’, ‘a rivetingly charismatic live performer’ and said ‘if you have any chance at all, see him live’. Deb Grant (BBC 6 Music / Jazz FM) has called his work ‘clever and authentic and really affecting’. He’s released two albums to date and a string of EPs and singles. In 2017 in vowed to write and release an original Christmas single every year until his death - he's started to regret this rather bold commitment but doesn't want to let anyone down.
