Born in West Africa from an Ivorian mother and a French-Italian father, Eva Sita moves to Paris as a war refugee at only 10 years old. When she finally finds the strength to pursue her musical dreams, against all odds, she becomes the first Ivorian woman in history to graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. In the African tradition, the Kora ( an African string instrument ) should only be played by men from a certain lineage but this rebellious artist doesn’t take no for an answer so she made it part of her sound anyway. The singer-songwriter & beat-maker pays tribute to her roots through catchy alternative pop music and R&B. The musician speaks and sings in three languages and accompanies herself on just as many instruments.
Eva Sita has performed in Sofar Boston and Sofar NYC.
