Entropies

Entropies are a cinematic musical project who document human stories through live sound and moving image. Featuring vocals, violin, cello, keys, percussion and more, they describe their music as a fusion of genres, from ambient pop to neo-classical. Their music recently featured in the BBC Our World documentaries ‘Harvesting Turkey’s Tea’ (2022) and ‘Turkey’s Earthquake: Those Who Stayed’ (2024) by Sheida Kiran. Stylistic influences include Max Richter and Hania Rani, and traditional folk sounds. Entropies gig regularly in London, often with Sofar Sounds, with whom they played in a filmed gig at Madame Tussauds, Baker Street. Entropies’ second single, ‘Blue Ghost’ (2021) was featured on BBC Music Introducing and Radio X’s ‘X-Posure’ show with John Kennedy. They are now recording their first EP with support from Help Musicians and the Bert Jansch Foundation. In 2024 they will be touring their first audio-visual live project in London and Cambridge.
