Emily Blue is a singer-songwriter based in Chicago, IL. Influenced by artists such as Regina Spektor, Norah Jones, and Sylvan Esso, her sound combines traditional pop elements with a wider range of experimental genres. She is involved in many musical groups, including pop-alternative band Tara Terra and electronic duo BOYCUT, two very active groups in the Champaign and Chicago music scenes.
Emily has performed solo and with her bands many times at the Pygmalion Music Festival, having shared the stage with Jill Andrews in 2011 and Purity Ring in 2015, among others. Her new album "Another Angry Woman" will be released on November 4, 2016. All the profits from this record, including 75%+ proceeds of her album's Kickstarter, will go to R.A.C.E.S., a rape crisis center on the University of Illinois campus. The record is her most powerful release yet, pulling from personal traumas, moments of empowerment, and strong unity with other survivors of sexual assault.
Emily is also an accomplished artist and spends her free time designing tattoos, painting, drawing, and doing custom logos, which you can order through email at firstname.lastname@example.org
