Rapper Dupree G.O.D aka WordSpit was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. The name Dupree G.O.D was given by his brother, who was influenced by Cannibus, Nas, and Rakim. When Dupree G.O.D was known as WordSpit, his band "The ILLest" was the first hip hop act to progress on Americas Got Talent show. His rapping career began to gain traction during 2009 in New York's underground music scene by performing at open mics, solo shows, and random freestyle sessions. Dupree G.O.D won Rolling Loud & Empire's "Got Bars?" competition on May 2021, which gave him the opportunity to perform for Rolling Loud's Music Festival 2021 and a major label deal with Empire. He made headlines with his infamous music video "Wutang 4Da Children", by jumping on top of a NYC bus and firing his flamethrower. This unforeseen event made its way to The Wendy Williams Show. Other than firing flamethrowers, Dupree G.O.D also gave back to the community by serving to-go meals inside NYC trains before the Thanksgiving holiday in 2019. Dupree G.O.D appeared on Rolling Loud, McDonald's "Breakfast Is Back" ad, Yeezy season 3 fashion show and many more. Dupree G.O.D is making sure that he leaves a trail of fire in his name sakes for when he takes the world by storm.
