Devis The Poet

A Ugandan writer and a perfomance poet born and raised in Makindye south of Kampala on 9th may 1994. Started writing poetry in early high school backed by Joseph Opondo his teacher of English. got introduced to art of spoken word Poetry by his mentors ZOEY THE STORY TELLER and WAKE THE POET. Started perfoming/reciting at MILEGE ACCOUSTIC PROJECT in january Makerere university in 2016 and his first major poetry stage was THE NABISUNSA POETRY FESTIVAL. Since then he has perfomed on major poetry platforms in and around Kampala and major ARTS AND CULTURAL FESTIVALS/. He has been on stages like Milege world music festival,He opened the STONE FEST,Tontoma poetry jazz session,WORD,AZANIA,STONE FEST,POETRY IN SESSION,KELELE @MAKERERE among others. His works have been published in continatel magazines like THE COLLEGE HUB ALGERIA  and others
