Danny Chaska

Since his arrival onto the underground hip hop scene, 20 year old Danny Chaska has been bringing a fresh new sound onto the scene with his distinctive jazz-filled instrumentals and laid-back rapping style. This can be heard throughout his debut project, ‘Vicetown’ which was created along with fellow collaborator and friend, Hal Shallo, reflecting both Hal and Danny’s upbringing in Oxford, exploring the vices they encountered along the way. Despite this being their first album, the project contains some of Danny’s most popular work to date with songs such as ‘Madrid’ which have amassed over 3.5 million streams on Spotify.   Chaska is a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar, bass and piano all of which regularly feature in his music. Despite years of live performances playing in various bands, his debut show as Danny Chaska took place in March 2023 at the Old Blue Last in London, courtesy of Revolt magazine. Since then he has played in numerous venues across the South of England including his first headline show with a live band at Hootananny, Brixton in August 2023.    2024 is set to be a big year for Chaska, with more live shows and many more releases to be anticipated. These will not only include solo work but also build on his work as a producer, with impressive features from artists such as Stacy NKR, David Armada and Oscar Grouch.
