Conor Hamilton-Long

I'm Conor Hamilton-Long, an Irish/Australian Singer/Songwriter and have returned to Aus after 21 years in Ireland. Embarking on a new chapter, this my debut Australian performance and I'm so glad it's with Sofar. My music is a blend of genres, with a primary focus in alt pop/alt R&B, drawing from personal experiences of growth, heartache, and the myriad emotions that make up life. Whilst writing music is my primary outlet of self expression, with that I also have a hope that those who listen can have something to relate to with their own interpretation, helping them enjoy the good times and get through the bad times. Inspiration is drawn from all over but artistically, the likes of Hozier, Miguel, Jordan Rakei, and Justin Timberlake are some of my main influences. I try to bring a unique blend of these influences to the stage but with my own flavour. Having enjoyed a busy 2022 playing headline shows and festivals across Ireland and the UK, I'm now ready to offer a more intimate experience for this gig and bring it back to how I originally started, with just a mic and a guitar. I usually play with a band, but I'm thrilled to strip things back for this special Sofar show, and try to create an intimate ambiance for the audience. Sofar has been a longtime goal of mine, and achieving it for his first Australian gig adds an extra layer of sweetness to the occasion.
