Calm Canopy

Optimist-core indie rock recording artist and producer from Toronto(ish) Canada. In the 2020 clusterduck-shmitstorm, I quit my corporate job and moved from the Toronto area to Vancouver Island with my wife and two cats where I'd write and record the first Calm Canopy singles (, , , ) in a makeshift bedroom studio, which were all released over the span of a few months. 2021: the new songs made their way into new ears, *miraculously* gaining over 100,000 streams via various Spotify editorial playlists such as Indie All Stars, Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Rock, Fresh Finds: Indie, and more. I was floored. I felt like dancing; I did. I produce indie rock anthems of inner discovery from my home studio in a sleepy town located West of Toronto and perform them in a different arrangement with the band. My debut album Optimist Park is out May 10th, 2024.
