Burçe Karaca

Karaca, a modern classical composer and pianist based in Turkey, embarked on her musical journey at the age of five by starting to play the piano. After graduating from the high school section of Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts with a specialization in flute, she was accepted into Başkent University State Conservatory's Music Theory and Composition department. Following her acceptance, she also prepared for the entrance exams of the piano department and earned the right to study in the Piano Main Art Branch, thus completing her education in both departments. While being a devoted admirer and performer of the classical piano repertoire, Karaca released her first album titled "Moving Along the Blanks" in 2020, consisting of six minimalist- classical contemporary compositions of her own. In the following period, she collaborated with a music publishing house called "Notacini Yayınları" in Turkey to publish the sheet music of this album, making it accessible to pianists at intermediate and advanced levels. Karaca's second album, "Journey on Rails," comprising eight pieces, was released under the "Ada Music" label as part of "Ada Classicals." With this album, she expanded her compositions to include string instruments such as violin, cello, and double bass, all accompanied by the piano, offering listeners a modern-classical style chamber music work. In addition to the modern classical style, Karaca also enjoys merging classical harmonies with traditional Turkish music. As a result of this fusion, she released her first single, "Kıyısında." On April 28th, she decided to explore Turkish folk music and aimed to create a project that reflects its traditions with her latest album, "Legacy of Anatolia," released under the Ada Music label. She drew inspiration for this album from her experiences during tours in various regions of Turkey. In this album, while incorporating electronic elements, she also used her own voice as a vocalist.
