Bledig cook up a stew of muscular prog hop/jazz grooves, dark piano tones, dirty synths and soaring vocals. Drawing influence from acts like Portishead, Esbjorn Svensson Trio and late Talk Talk, Bledig have stirred a mix of cinematic ambience and head-bopping attitude. The title track of their first album, Bad Day For Lupus, was a Quietus Track of The Year and was championed by Mary Anne Hobbs on 6 Music and Jame Cullum’s jazz show on Radio 2. With an expanded line up and having evolved into a potent live act, Bledig have played supports with Mammal Hands, Melt Yourself Down and Toska. They are due to release their latest single, Bruise, in December 2018, with an EP following early 2019.
Bledig has performed in Sofar Brighton.
