Sydney based act Beryl have been writing their intimate and melancholic music since early 2019. Their unique lyricism and intricate approach to arranging has received praise from listeners and critics alike, with their recent EP and singles premiering on Triple J and FBi Radio, as well as receiving rotation at FBi Radio, SYN and 2SER. A string of sold out launch shows across Sydney in 2019-23 saw the band performing alongside heralded artists including Husky, Dominic Breen, Indira Elias, Romaeo, Safford, The Wattles, Glenn Hopper and Brendon Moon. 2022 also saw the band performing headline slots at Great Southern Nights and Sydney Fringe Festival, as well as receiving FBi Independant Artist of the Week. Following up on the success of their debut EP Keeping score, the band are set to release a much anticipated LP Dry Peel Crack, that was written and recorded in late 2022. The album expands upon the introspective art-folk style that Beryl are known for, whilst progressing towards a more upbeat, indie-rock influenced approach for much of the album.
