Noochie is a 28-year-old rapper and musician from Washington, D.C. Following the footsteps of his father Oneway Boobe, who is a pioneer of D.C Hip-Hop, Noochie released his debut project, Rookie Season in 2012. From there, he was determined to make a career out of his passion for music. The rapper's nickname “Noochie” came from a close family friend at birth. When he began making music, he decided to go by his nickname, paying homage to his childhood. As a kid growing up in the DMV, he found himself inspired by the unique influence of fashion, gogo and even the politics of the time. He infused the elements of real life experiences into his rhymes, making his storytelling authentic. As career began to develop, Noochie suffered the absence of his father when he was sent to prison. This incident took a toll on him emotionally and musically, but he decided to use it as motivation to share his story with the world. Over the years, the D.C rapper has managed to garner fans from all around the world. He recently started The Front Porch Freestyles, a series of rhymes and raps for fans to tune into via social media. He has gained the notoriety and support of artists like Common, Wale, Lil Uzi Vert and many more. Most people don’t know that Noochie is more than a talented artist. He aims to use music as a tool to tell the untold narrative of Black America. Noochie also plans to continue his weekly Front Porch series for his followers and keep performing shows like the recent sold out dates in his native DC.
