Singer- Songwriter Anna Field gives a wide eyed perspective of the world around us and how she fits into it. With her lofty melodies, she tells musical stories of curiosity, heartbreak and finding herself amidst it all, with a lighthearted approach that brings hope and relatability. She began singing at a young age, Influenced by her mother’s talent and love of musicals. In 2009 she was given her first guitar, which prompted curiosity, but she did not have the courage to seriously pursue music until 2012 when she needed an outlet for her feelings. As writing became a way of release, Anna began to transition her journal entries into songs. According to Anna, “Music is a call to vulnerability, It gives voices to those afraid to speak, a friend to me when I am in need; and writing gives me the ability to look at myself objectively, identify where I am in life, and use that to make something beautiful.” After putting out a well-received, small collection of songs on SoundCloud, entitled “Pretty View,” and Being in a national commercial for her song “Go”, Anna is now ready to make her way to the forefront of the industry. Citing diverse influences, such as Nat king Cole, Roberta Flack, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, Anna Field is destined to follow in their footsteps with solid songwriting complemented by genuine sounds and unwavering commitment to being herself.
