Growing up reading the lyrics and liner notes of dusty old records have left Andy Oliveri nothing but a story teller. Echoing the spirit of the Laurel Canyon music scene, he draws on elements of country and Americana with his heart on his sleeve and words from a bared soul. Evident in the stripped back arrangements of tracks such as ‘To Be The King’ and ‘Only Leaves’, the fragility in his voice and guitar allow the songs to breathe, with no overblown arrangements to mask the sentiment. Delightfully captured live over two days at FCH Chapel, debut LP ‘Pay Your Respect To The Rose’ stands a testament to great musicianship and feeling – a moment in time to be relived - in favour of modern day studio trickery.
After returning to the studio in early 2021, a new album 'Silent Country' produced by James Bragg (Gengahr, Tourists) will be released in 2022.
