Amy uses an intuitive approach to music making, experimenting with a variety of different instruments and sounds – all without preconceived ideas or expectations of the final product.
It is this spontaneous and improvised method of working that has allowed her to find freedom as well as the courage to craft, develop and share new and original works. Just last year Amy staged and funded her own Mini-Brexit and USA Solo adventure, taking with her an ambition to use art to dissolve borders, whilst aiming for an authentic and worthwhile devising and performing experience. If you were there, you will have seen and heard that in concert, her main weapons of choice are; the Korg Electribe Music Production Station, Fender Squier Bronco Bass, TC Helicon vocal station, an antique wooden winding music box and magical chime bars. Amy has supported the likes of Gregory Porter, Roy Aires and Public Enemy in concert (Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival, Birmingham) and recently worked with renowned producer Stew Jackson (Massive Attack) on new music. Motivated by a desire to hone her creativity and push past boundaries, Amy has just released her debut self-produced single EARS on The Light Factory Records which, is available on all streaming platforms now.
