Alice Avery is a Belgian singer-songwriter and actress. After living in New York City for 6 years, she recently moved back to her homecountry Belgium.
When Alice first started her musical journey, she wrote and released a few songs ("U Make My Heart Beat", "Oops Baby",...), which got her nominated by Radio 2 Belgium for “best new artist" in 2012. That same year, Alice decided to relocate to NYC to hone her craft and truly find her sound. During her first year in New York, Alice wrote a weekly column for popular Flemish teen magazine JOEPIE about her adventures in the city.
Before she moved to the Big Apple, she had already discovered her love for acting when she played the part of Robin in Studio 100’s hit teen show “Galaxy Park”. It was a natural choice for her to study music and theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After graduating from the AMDA conservatory program, she completed her Bachelor in Fine Arts at The New School, NYC.
In 2016, Avery independently released her debut EP: Kicking The Habit. The EP was co-written and produced by Grammy nominee & winner, and friend Will Hensley. Avery has performed her music in various NYC venues such as The Bitter End, Pianos, Leftfield, Rockwood Music Hall, Pete's Candy Store, Silvana and and at many Sofar Sounds.
