Before launching his career as a pop/rock acoustic singer/songwriter, 23-year-old Adam Ambrose grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His love for music came from singing with his family and watching his uncle play the piano. It was only after his sister shared her music collection that Adam discovered who later would become his favourite artist Jack Johnson.
After learning some covers of Jack Johnson, Coldplay, and Ben Howard, Adam started busking in many cities like Calgary AB, Kelowna BC, and later Toronto, ON. Along the way, Adam drew inspiration from listening to Twenty One Pilots, J. Cole, David Bowie, The Cranberries and Ed Sheeran.
Many of the artists listed above made Adam less afraid to speak on issues of suicide, mental illness, and personal loss. Adam's early success has come from his first video Ghost which was created in his bedroom while living in Ontario. After moving back to Calgary, Adam wanted to create more professional videos with the help of his MRU classmate Dain.
Jon Swan helped Adam work through the challenges of becoming a musician. A lot of his support has come from his hometown, including his neighbour and producer, Danny Patton. Danny is a Juno award-winning producer who has worked with artists like Jann Arden, Rage Against The Machine, Tegan and Sara.
Currently, Adam has released his debut EP Little Green Cabins. The EP was pick up by big playlists at spotify like New Music Friday and the EP has garnished over 160k streams on spotify in only a few weeks.
