Abigail Wighton is an indie-folk singer-songwriter based in Sydney, Australia on Wangal land. She writes and performs heartfelt honest songs about love, loss and the human experience. Her shows involve soul bearing lyrics, beautiful acoustic guitar playing and witty interludes that surprisingly feel like a chat with your best friend. Abigail has been paving her way in the folk and country singer/songwriter scene, recently opening for Fanny Lumsden at her Country Halls Sydney show as well as Colin Buchanan at The Beer Shed. Abigail was invited to showcase her original songs at the 2024 National Folk Festival. Abigail released her 2nd EP ‘soon’ in May which was accompanied by an 8 stop tour. She is grateful for all the support from community radio stations around the country, especially to have been played by Beccy Cole on ABC Country. In 2019 she proudly released her debut EP, ‘interwoven’ accompanied by a headline show. After performing and recording as much as she could between lockdowns she released her dual single: ‘Known’ featuring ‘More Than You Know’ and ‘Fully Known’ in 2022.
